View full threadYup. Prosecutors have practically unlimited resources compared with public defenders who are overworked and underpaid. Prosecutors always run on "tough on crime" platforms, whereas public defenders are seen as "defending scumbags and thugs".
- Blows my mind that the US has the highest incarceration rate in the world, by a LOT, and nobody seems to think there's something really fked up about that. America is just a bunch of criminals? It couldn't possibly be that prisons are stuff with falsely accused, drug addicts, and the mentally ill.
