I cannot overstate how bad of a look it is for an official Democratic Party leadership organization to overturn election results to boot a young person who thinks the party needs a new generation of leaders.

I know I’m beating a dead horse on this lately, but pundits and consultants who argue for this stuff are actually just arguing that politicians should cater to the views that *they* hold, which they believe are uniquely reasonable and universal. Actual swing voters have mostly incoherent politics!
