- I'd put this in the opposite order. It's the university's literal job to _teach_ these students how to do and be better. They're being paid to do the job! Students are just that, students.
- No it's primary and secondary school's jobs to teach that. Maybe parents too, but once you're in college you're expected to be an adult at a minimum.
- I really feel like more people need to constructively engage with this! You can think the moderation/centrism discourse is often braindead (as I do!) but the center left really needs a pretty robust convo about what winning, say, an Iowa or Kansas or Texas or Ohio senate seat would look like.

- If Dems tack to the right any more there will be a GOP supermajority, because Republicans will never vote for a Democrat cosplaying a Republican and Democrats would just not vote given that choice. Liz Cheney does not win Dems elections. Standing for nothing but centrist platitudes loses everytime

- When the leaders of the opposition abdicate their responsibility to oppose that is fundamentally a massive blow to any opposition movement. Schumer is one of Trump's most vital allies at this point.
