I know it's not totally their fault but also I don't really cry tears for people who refuse to discipline themselves. Like sorry learning from failure is hard. And no tears either for universities that won't impede AI because they're too timid.

I'd put this in the opposite order. It's the university's literal job to _teach_ these students how to do and be better. They're being paid to do the job! Students are just that, students.
