The mayoral race in Omaha should be studied for such insight. The outgoing woman, a 12-term mayor who, as a former resident, I can affirm she did good for that city. But today she was handily defeated by Omaha’s first black mayor. Study. Learn. Utilize. Win!

People want change from a sucky future. A death of the American dream. A reality of never affording a home, or a family. An endless daily grind and somehow still falling behind. They will vote for anyone who they believe with actually change the course of events, as anything is better than this.

Voters re-register every year. No legal process for residents to collect signatures, to get issues on general ballot.
