- Is it any wonder the royals do not speak to the Royal Whinge when they know anything they say will be bleated or to all and sundry via their client journalists.
- The state of the newspapers this morning: a near-universal attack on trans people, most of it grossly exaggerating the implication of yesterday's ruling. Almost joyous in its spite.

- Given being lesbian or gay has absolutely nothing to do with gender then they have nothing to say on the matter.

- The judgement did. You've obviously not read it.

- However it is defined (and in British law it has been defined by the Supreme Court) it is incapable of being changed.
- I shouldn't want to worry anyone but there were papal conclaves in both 1914 and 1939!

- Give you an answer?!? You haven't asked my question. How does anybody change their sex?
- [Not loaded yet]
- You still confuse sex with gender. I'm sure almost everybody would have no objection to anybody declaring they are whatever gender they wish. Whatever gender they think they are though they will not have and never will change their sex.
- Imagine just half the energy campaigning against trans rights had been put into - Fighting the underfunding of women’s refuges - Fighting for single mums - Fighting for low-paid women Compared to fighting trans rights, which would have had most impact on women’s lives?

- Here's another one who needs to grow up.

- I would have put money on Preston being north of Burnley!

- It's hardly rocket science is it. It will say so on her birth certificate. And to be clear the law didn't change yesterday, it was just clarified. Women have rights based on sex. Trans people have rights based on gender recognition.
- But without the important win yesterday, it wouldn't be a "women's refuge", would it?
- Stonewall responds to today’s Supreme Court ruling. You can read the full judgement here: bit.ly/3ROPmMS
- And the idea that you will be providing "clarity" is risible given you have spent the last decade spreading misinformation on this issue.
- An astonishing headline reporting on new observations from a team led to Nikku Madhusudhan claims they’ve found ‘hints of life’ on a planet orbiting a dwarf star some 124 light years away. What’s going on? (1/n) www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... 🔭 🧪
- Would this be akin to residents of K2-18b looking at the atmosphere of Earth detecting increasing carbon dioxide over time and concluding this can only be due to intelligent aliens polluting their planet?
- We can all thank you for the part you have played in ensuring this judgement by your continual traducing of those who had opposing views, your refusal to enter into debate, and your deliberate misleading of many organisations about the nature of the law.

- 🚨Some major errors & misleading claims from experienced presenter Nick Robinson on BBC Radio 4 Today, when discussing British Steel with Treasury Minister James Murray I hope these are corrected on tomorrow's programme, and Robinson sticks to the facts in future. Here's what he got wrong... 🧵
- I hope you've made a complaint to the BBC. No doubt they will then spend weeks considering it only to have the producer say, Thanks you for your comments. Nick Robinson was right for all these reasons. Blah blah blah blah blah blah

- If this race is really used for this purpose then it is completely useless. Conditions on the Tideway change from hour to hour as well as tide to tide and a race today will tell you nothing about conditions on Sunday.

View full threadThe website has "The Committee of the Fours Head warmly welcomes the addition of the Junior Fours Head to the racing calendar..." It's an entirely separate committee to that running the Fours Head (I've seen the paperwork).
- And it was the National Competition Committee which added it to the calendar having reviewed the paperwork especially noting the wholehearted support of the Fours Head OC.
- Not quite right, I think. The Junior Fours Head is a separate competition with a separate OC. The Fours Head OC, of course, is very supportive.

- He also owes getting his finger out and doing the work expected as a result of his birth. But no he just whines from the sidelines.
- So the Royal whinge has been taking lessons from his wife, has he? Yes, of course his treatment is inferior because he no longer works for the Royal Family as a living.

- No, it's not. The uneducated keep fulminating about -ize spellings being American when they are in fact the correct ending given the etymology of the words.

- Unless you follow the minutiae of the British Rowing website, you might have missed yesterday's announcement which will almost certainly put £1 per seat on entry fees this summer. This was done without any consultation with the clubs or regions at all.
- And secondly, if you have to unfortunately cancel your competition (all too frequent with many of us these days), whereas some of your commercial suppliers might take pity on you and discount fees BR will now ensure they get their full whack of BROE fees costing events anything from £600 upwards.
