Pain Threshold
Resident Half-wit. G Check proof. Cringe but in an endearing way. Real American Patriot. Full-Time Poaster.
- Sauer admitting to Justice Barrett that the Trump Administration has the “general practice” of following District Court Precedent is insane. He said “in the vast majority of cases” when the Administration is legally required to follow the opinion of EVERY CASE UNTIL IT IS APPEALED.
- Sauer’s argument that Article III doesn’t empower nationwide injunctions and can only make judgments for relief of the Plaintiffs effectively overturns Marbury vs. Madison. What is striking down an Unconstitutional law/EO if not a nationwide injunction that applies to non-parties of the suit?
- Reminder that Trump is Constitutionally disqualified from holding office via Section III of the 14th Amendment because he attempted to commit an insurrection against the Constitution. Every moment Congress doesn’t enforce this is a millisecond they’re allowing a disqualified person to hold office.
- The Republican Party believes itself to be more powerful than the offices it occupies.
- The United States is in the middle of the most consequential Constitutional Crisis since the debate about whether the Constitution allows us to be racist enough. This time around the Constitutional Crisis is about whether the Constitution allows us to be racist enough.
- Brunson
- AI will dramatically increase an already skyrocketing epidemic of Americans treating knowledge as though it is an act of repetition as opposed to an act of acquired understanding. People who can deal with problems requiring fluid understanding of complex things will be in short supply.

- I dislike Gavin Newsom because his first instinct when Trump got re-elected was to start a podcast & give MAGA figures tongue baths on it as opposed to becoming even angrier and more steely-eyed in the face of the destruction of the Republic. I need a President that had that instinctual reaction.
- Secretary of Health and Human Services
- LET’S GOOOOOO
- Feels really bad that my country has openly accepted demagoguery as both a necessary and desirable trait for Presidential candidates.
- Live John Roberts cam:
- John Roberts, who has abdicated the Supreme Court's role in government and through his decisions, has facilitated the deforming of the government's structure and the debilitation of public education, would like to blame the teachers, thank you very much. www.politico.com/news/2025/05...
- One thing the Internet did was make me very frightened of my children being exposed to misinformation propagated by fascists on the Internet. Especially regarding the law, the Civil War, WWII, and the Holocaust. My solution has been to try and spend this time becoming an expert in all of it.
- Just heard somebody say “Obama made propaganda legal” completely unironically.
- America’s epistemic collapse is occurring partly because a critical mass of idiots got interested in politics via debate content. Now they all walk around mimicking the behavior of arguing with people and get either scared or angry when you don’t adhere to the parrot dance they memorized.
- Asking ChatGPT which songs are my favorite and who I should fall in love with.
- Reposted by Pain ThresholdAccepting a private jumbo-jet from a foreign nation is a clear violation of our Constitution, which plainly prohibits U.S. officials from accepting gifts from foreign governments.

- I don’t think the filibuster should exist anymore. Considering what has happened to the country over the past decade I’d rather the consequences of elections be more directly felt by the people. “Needing 60 votes to pass anything” leads to stagnation that we can’t afford the luxury of anymore.
- Administration literally swimming in rot and sewage
- I would love to see a single reporter call this ‘corruption’ to Trump’s face instead of asking this kind of weasel question. Don’t ask “what do you say to people who say X” just ask why he’s doing X. Reality matters, and the press is pretending nothing is happening except dueling meta-narratives.
- They both don’t understand how things work and don’t care. Their jobs are to draw eyeballs and the TV drama of the US slowly turning into a dictatorship gets killer ratings. It’s a big game show. It’s Reality TV. It’s Maury if it had to do with politics instead of finding out who the dad is.
- Just going to state what a national security risk it is for the President to use as Air Force One a plane gifted to him by a foreign country. Even if you’re a twisted evil idiot who thinks Trump is based for accepting personal bribes from foreign countries this should frighten you.

- Nobody is going to like this, but should the Democrats get a trifecta over the next decade they should spend a lot of that time reclaiming the powers of Congress that have been ceded to the executive. It doesn’t have to be everything they do, but it should probably be at least a Top 3 priority.
- The question, does he actually believe he dictates reality via executive order? Or is he fully aware that the stuff he's signing does absolutely nothing and functions as nothing more than a talking point for Republicans to say that he is "getting things done?"

- Just pick something after high school (military, college, work force, etc). Four years seems like a long time when you’re 17, but not when you’re in your 30s. You have time to say “that’s not for me” a few times. Picking nothing will put you in a worse spot than picking the wrong thing.
- They’re trying to speed run their loss of Civil War II. Good, let’s just get it over with now and then we’ll have a nice little chat with MAGA about what they can expect from Reconstruction II.
