View full threadNo one is fighting but I got 1.) A person telling me it’s not right to consider such things 2.) A complete non-sequitur 3.) A person that skipped right past my point and essentially said I was arguing for a theocratic hellhole 4.) One reply and insta-block
- So apologies for being flip with you, but I’m pretty done with people not even being respectful enough to read what I wrote or respond to the actual content of my message. It’s a public space so no one has to, of course, but I’m gonna give everyone that does shit for it. Anyway - bye now 🙃

- Oh you didn’t? So then it was a complete non-sequitur from you? That’s so interesting! I guess I’m glad YOU got that out of your system, my bro. The world needed to hear it 😃

- Sorry Caryn. Forgot there’s a limit to the things I can discuss. I’ll make sure to consult with you first next time.

- Phenomenal news. Nothing in what I said implied you should ever vote for him! Thanks for playing along.

- The point is that there’d at least be a chance to fight it through democracy - so that it wouldn’t become that. I don’t know how much clearer I could have been tbh
- Like. No one is asking you to vote for him. Just accept reality that if Republicans had backed a Pence-centric future it'd be a lot different. With Pence we'd have an attempt at a theocratic hellhole. But done constitutionally. With Trump you have the same thing, but completely unconstitutionally.
- With one there's a hope of combatting through pretty typical judicial, electoral, and bureaucratic means. Boring stuff. The other is a steamroller on civil rights and everything else besides.

- Hoosiers. Indianans is not a thing. And no one is dismissing the damage he’s done. But it’s lunacy to look at the man that refused to upend the Constitution to instate Trump on Jan 6 and think he’s not “less bad” than the person actively dismantling the Constitution and government.
- So. One day of pain waiting in February weather… for free tea for a year? I know folks will say the sandwich is the better value but I like McAlister’s for the enormous unsweetened teas lol
- Quite an exchange here between Judge Reyes and DOJ attorney on how "pronoun usage" affects military readiness.

- You’re left of Bernie but think Hakeem Jeffries is the answer? LOL

- Hah - I think it might be. Need a way to clap for air traffic control too.
- Accounts like this really make you see that the entirety of crypto is built on quicksand. They have to keep attracting new suckers every day. That Binance, one of the largest exchanges, is clearly spending money on this sort of astroturfing operation is hilarious.

- Wooooow. Concern. I bet they’ll stop now.
- So you can just say you work at DOGE and pillage anything from our documents you want. The law truly doesn't exist anymore! Cool!

- I legitimately don’t know how you even go on the internet. I have dipped one toe into understanding the basics of typography and I’m driven nearly to madness almost daily.

- Sure, I mean art is subjective, but it feels like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. The message is important. Not how “pretty” we make it. And beyond that, at a certain point it’s illegible. But I’ve also just never understood the people that just post in memes and think that’s #resistance

- We couldn’t fit one more font in on this?
- The whistling of “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” at the beginning of this episode is honestly just about the creepiest thing. #severance

- Balatro Balatro Balatro! The rest may be amazing games but Balatro destroyed my ability to be productive for daaaaays. Games like that are rare for me now-a-days.

- Seems like the account is already gone!
- I would do it exclusively in red areas. Go where minds can be changed. Not where the choir already stands behind you !

- Stop liking this bots post. The only reason I didn’t block / hide this response is because I reposted this laughing at how obvious these bots are. And here you are liking this shit? Gah!
- The bots here are too funny. Obviously the point is engagement, but to what end? What’s the play with this long-term? Just getting people angrier? Or building followers and then boom, crypto scam?
- Oh no. Backstreet Boys are playing at The Sphere. My wife will want to go. The last visit to The Sphere did not go well for me lol

- Ha. We got nosebleed seats for U2 and the steepness and height of the visuals were a bit much for me. Had issues with some slight passing out a few times 😬 If we do Backstreet Boys we’ll be sitting way further down.

- lol. Exquisite. Got me to scroll the whole list tho haha
- Really interesting. Last week I went to the FIS Ski World Cup to watch the moguls finals. Was very cool. Was heavily sponsored by Mizuno. Which I thought was interesting. I mostly know them for baseball gear.
- I wondered what ski gear they have. Turns out the answer is: none in the US. In Japan they offer a lot. But on their US website they do not list skiing as a sport they cover. It’s a VERY international event, so the sponsorship still makes some sense. But I found it interesting nonetheless.

- This reads like the opening paragraph of a novel so bleakly dystopian you'd put it down after five pages
- It’s pretty hacky writing too. Would expect to see it self-published on Amazon.
- Why would you make your narrator unreliable. I trusted you and purchased this book and this is how you repay me
- Yeah! I’m glad Kvothe is basically dead (Rothfuss will write another 30 side stories before ever finishing the series).
- We’re done here. Right?
- You know that little repost button? Give it a try next time.

- A lot of people seem to think if they cheer for the blue team that it’s okay to be a bigot from time to time. Same with jokes about Caitlin Jenner.
- Called a dude out for this a while back and he just liked my post? Feel like half of them just do it for engagement bait tbh.
- 90% of my LinkedIn is now video content and “Suggested” posts. It’s been a long time since LinkedIn was useful. But it’s truly scraping the bottom now-a-days.
- Susan Collins. The world’s most willfully gullible useful idiot.
- Well I duno what the best commercial is gonna be. But I know Coffeemate is going to have the fucking worst.
- Day one of Obama's term, the GOP was facing the same odds and declared unanimously and unambiguously that they would not help him a lick and anyone who didn't like it could eat shit. It largely worked, and they left the literal playbook for the Dems - who have instantly surrendered.

- Dems 🤝 Fucking up messaging You’d think after being so god damned bad at it for so god damned long they’d learn. But they absolutely refuse.
- They really think the messaging play is “We can’t do anything!” Betting on the American populace to see the error in their way, rather than trying to obstruct or stop the not so slow decline in fascism is a bold (read: stupid) move.
- I love how Reps think outlawing trans kids is going to stop anything. A.) Trans kids exist B.) Have you ever told a kid not to do something? Wanna know the first thing they’ll do?

- Bye sad troll.
- Mentioning stocks is a red herring and meaningless. The bottom 50% of Americans own ~1% of stocks while the top 1% owns 50% of stocks. Nearly half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
- If you refuse to accept this, that’s fine. You and the Democratic leadership can have a head in sand party. Meanwhile a fucking billionaire with a billionaire cabinet is going to win on messaging economic populism.
- [Not loaded yet]
- I’m not having this conversation again. So you get one response. It’s great that some metrics looked good. Plenty of real people are still hurting. Income inequality is at an all time high. Inflation came down but still fucking happened (prices didn’t deflate after - that’s not how it works).
- SEVERANCE DOESN’T MISS #severance
- Yeah, I mean honestly not what I consider media but obv the misinfo there was beyond the pale. Misinfo generally was at an all time high this cycle - absolutely right about that. And yeah it was totally uphill. My thesis in this is that they thought they were cruising. They didn’t message to it
- And I think that continues now with how they’re dealing with P25. This shit is a playbook that has been out in the open for months. Why weren’t they prepared to message more forcefully? To push back stronger?
- Jonathan Greenblatt condemns Kanye. So despite the new world order there is still apparently a limit to how far the ADL go to justify nazi behavior. Wonder if him saying Elon stole Kanye’s nazi shit will make him rethink giving Musk a pass? Nah.
