- The NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope has observed Jupiter’s aurora. The observations help astronomers better understand how Jupiter’s upper atmosphere is heated & cooled, and may prove useful to our #ESAJuice mission, en route to the gas giant. Read more 👉 www.esa.int/Science_Expl... 🔭 🧪
- The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has captured candyfloss clouds! The sparkling cloudscape comes from one of the Milky Way’s galactic neighbours, a dwarf galaxy called the Large Magellanic Cloud. Read more 👉 esahubble.org/images/potw2... 🔭 🧪
- 👀 Plato's eyes are growing! ✅ The activities to assemble our terrestrial planet hunting mission are progressing well, with 24 of the spacecraft’s 26 cameras now installed by OHB in Germany. Read more 👉 www.esa.int/Science_Expl... 🔭 🧪 #exoplanets #instrumentation
- ICYMI, the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope returned to the Eagle Nebula 🦅 This vast stellar nursery displays a towering spire of cosmic gas and dust, making the setting look like a curling party streamer or a plume of smoke from a blown-out candle. Read more 👉 esahubble.org/news/heic2507/ 🔭
- Reposted by ESA Space ScienceA 495 kg Venus landing capsule, launched in 1972 by the Soviet Union, will undergo an uncontrolled atmospheric reentry this week. Part of the Venera programme, the object, known as Cosmos-482, failed to escape low-Earth orbit and is now returning to its home planet 53 years after launch.
- Meet the 2025 Research Fellows in space science! They were selected to pursue their own independent research in space science at one of our establishments. Find out who they are and what kind of research they do here 👉 www.esa.int/ESA_Multimed... Congratulations to all! 🧪☄️
