- If it's the 14th of the month, it's time for the #ESAJuice bar! The animation below shows Juice's altitude transition from 500 km to 200 km above Ganymede, an update announced earlier this year. The new phase of 30 days at 200 km will enable a more detailed investigation of Jupiter's moon. 🔭
- The NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope has observed Jupiter’s aurora. The observations help astronomers better understand how Jupiter’s upper atmosphere is heated & cooled, and may prove useful to our #ESAJuice mission, en route to the gas giant. Read more 👉 www.esa.int/Science_Expl... 🔭 🧪
- The ESA Director of Science Professor @cmundell.bsky.social invites the community to join the ESA Town Hall meeting on the Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO). Details can be found here 👉 www.cosmos.esa.int/web/hwo_town... 🧪 🔭 ☄️
- The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has captured candyfloss clouds! The sparkling cloudscape comes from one of the Milky Way’s galactic neighbours, a dwarf galaxy called the Large Magellanic Cloud. Read more 👉 esahubble.org/images/potw2... 🔭 🧪
- Why do we know so little about Mercury? 🤔 It mostly comes down to the planet's proximity to the Sun. This makes Mercury more difficult to observe, harder to reach and too hot to orbit up close. But our #BepiColombo mission is ready for the challenge. Read more 👉 www.esa.int/Science_Expl... 🔭 🧪
