May 11, 2025 16:34When I was a little girl it was a thing to wear a rose to church on Mother’s Day, a red rose for a living mother, a white rose for a dead one. My neighbor’s only blooming rose bush was pink. When a church lady asked my friend what a pink rose meant, she told the lady it meant her mom was pregnant.
I just wanted you to know that I've casually started referring to you as "my good friend John Scalzi" and everyone in my book club is scared shitless to call me on it.
