- Welp, I’ll officially be in that database. Wheeeeee 🙃 #fuckyouRFKJr
- WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS TIMELINE? And how do I jump to another one?
- History of anti-trans positions! *crowd hisses*
- This is one of the greatest moments on television EVER and nobody will convince me otherwise. EVER.
- 🙌🙌🙌 @chriswarcraft.bsky.social Chris Kluwe saying what needs to be said! 🙌🙌🙌
- No shortage of delusional morons in this world. He’s drowning in the Koolaid. Fuckin’ idiot.
- Ah, two ableist slurs in one reply, to someone who is developmentally disabled (me). Delightful. You may be anti-MAGA, but you’re also anti-me. Toodles.
- I didn't see their post either. They must have deleted it. What did their post say?
- I didn’t screenshot it and it wasn’t important enough to memorize.
- Huntington Beach City Council voted 7-0 to have city legal counsel file a complaint against nonprofit Friends of the Library, which has raised millions for HBPL. Meanwhile, councilmembers have violated campaign laws at Calvary Chapel of the Harbour (which needs its own nonprofit status stripped).
- The “complaint” is based on the city council’s loose interpretation of campaign laws. Chad Williams himself plays fast and loose with campaign laws, as mentioned earlier. He isn’t the only one on the dais, though.
- It entertains me when someone tries to “both sides are wrong” and it takes them more than one reply to go on their tirade… I’m able to just nope them right out of the discussion after their 1/# reply in the thread, by blocking them and walking away from the tragedy that is their nonsense 🤷♀️😏
- The people mocking me were the Cavalry Chapel group who were very upset when anyone interrupted one of their speakers. They also read out a lot of excerpts from romance novels with graphic details to the livestream, where children were watching.

- Yeah… and it was as gross as any reasonable person would assume.
- Qu opinas sobre pestaa?
- Are you asking me?
- Manufacturing her own small-batch, artisanal child exploitation content is such a crunchy girlboss mama bear move, yasss 💅🏻
- And you just KNOW she listened to it, in full, with every voice option to figure out which one would incite disgust the most. Probably played multiple options for her guuurrrlllzzz over frappachinos, too.
- Oh yeah, that one was SO fucking gross. Like, lady, *you’re* the one who just made that!
- The cringe was audible. So many of them were enjoying their role-playing a bit too much for it to not be suspect.
- And one of them used text-to-speech on her phone, utilizing an AI toddler voice to read one of the excerpts. But they swear they’re trying to “protect” children. The cognitive dissonance is staggering.
- Major props to Natalie Moser for chastising Pat Burns for unconstitutionally cutting off speakers if they are speaking against specific councilmembers and the council for manufacturing crises and asks people to beware of false prophets and wolves in sheep’s clothing, clearly referring to Chad. 🙌🙌🙌
- That was certainly something. I encourage everyone to email Huntington Beach city councilmembers and let them know what you think of their fashy plan to privatize the library and ban puberty books and LGBTQ+ books from the teen catalog, with the help of MAGA cult church Calvary Chapel of the Harbor
- Current speaker claims the abstract on the HBPL website describes “Let’s Talk About It” as a “sex book for children”… it does not. “Abstract: ‘A graphic novel about sex, sexuality, gender, body, consent, and many other topics for teens’”
- Current speaker tells Chad that he needs to leave Friends of the Library alone and if he’s concerned about political campaign violations by a non-profilt, he should look at his campaigning from the pulpit as a pastor.
- The library theater is full for tonight’s Huntington Beach City Council meeting. Mayor Pat Burns is giving everyone one minute to speak. He is also telling speakers that they can’t address individual council members, but the council as a group.
- So much for the First Amendment.
- Burns also spoke over a speaker and then wouldn’t give her that time back. He’s also allowed the anti-A&B folks to get away with saying things he won’t let the Yes folks get away with and isn’t cutting all the No folks off at the minute mark.
- The problem is education… the No on A & B folks don’t have much and they don’t want to kids to have a solid education, either.
- 🧵: We'll be in HB tonight to report on the city council meeting, which starts at 6PM at the library. Follow along!
- I don’t know where this is taking place but I assure you that it’s not just your town council! This disgusting slander and libel and defamation is now the platform of the entire Republican Party! My stepmother is a librarian here in our town and she is under so much stress.
- Huntington Beach, CA… a hotbed of MAGA cult nonsense.
- Valentina Bankhead spewing her usual fashy bullshit after the local Proud Boy (who very obviously lost the plot while watching Star Wars) was allowed to make a laughable speech which Pat Burns allowed to go over the time limit…
- Second part of the video…
- Current speaker just called out for the entire council for being fascists and liars 🙌🙌🙌
- Current speaker chastising Andrew Gruel for calling protesters “circus animals” and “minions”, after claiming to stand for “unity” when he was appointed (NOT elected) to city council.
- The usual MAGA cultists here to run their mouths. Blah blah blah.
- All these people reading sexual passages from books NOT in the children’s section… I have to wonder if they’ve ever set foot in a library as an adult (aside from being here for this meeting), let alone ever read a book outside of school. They got these books from their church, based on lies.
- Older lady reading from an erotic passage (I’m telling you… they’re obsessed)… and says the word “Fuck” which is against the explicit instructions given by Herr Mayor Pat… Does he warn or chastise? Nope.
- Lady claims there are no books on physics or international politics in the children’s section because their brains can’t process those topics. I guffawed. Couldn’t help it… A quick search…
- Yet another person doing a live erotica reading in a salacious voice. They really do get off on this shit. I don’t get it.
- The timer buzzer isn’t working so people are yelling “Tiiiiiiime!” and it’s taking a lot to not laugh every time.
- Fourth-grader at the podium, she says she could say a lot about the signs, but is asking what city council wants kids protected from, encourages a yes vote. Hope all the evangelicals feel awesome about exposing that kid to their erotic readings 🙄
- Librarian at the podium just sang a song about if you don’t like a book, close it up. More than half the audience participating in the participation clapping… myself included. 👏👏
- Two old dudes in a row reading from a YA novel; one from a teen girl’s perspective and another about two girls being intimate. They’re definitely enjoying this too much. I worry about these adults so obsessed with sexualizing kids… it’s creepy AF. And they’re the ones pretending to be concerned.
- Former city council member Mike Posey spewing bullshit, as usual.
- Last speaker played text to speech on her phone in an AI toddler voice, reading an erotic passage from a book she claims is in the children’s section. Current speaker reading an erotic passage from a book she claims is in the children’s section. Evangelicals are enjoying role-playing way too much.
- Gina Clayton-Tarvin speaking out against Chad Williams having two candidate-controlled committees at the same time. It’s a violation of HB Municipal Code. Calling on the city clerk to investigate. Also called him out for violating the city charter for hanging inappropriate signs near schools.
- Some random woman who didn’t sign up to speak jumped into the line (Pat allowed it) and her whole speech was about how we all need to be nice to each and stop the hate. We don’t need to be nice to fascists 💅
- Former probation officer speaking out about how library books don’t molest kids… it was mostly male family members. Lots of applause and cheers.
- A portion of a cute poem to Chad Williams, that smug POS in the middle of the video…
- Current speaker is complaining about gay sex, spread labia, gay sex (he said it again), blowjobs, “and other weird stuff like that”… and now he’s reading from erotica which definitely isn’t in the children’s section 🤣
- Current speaker is reading out loud from a book about masturbation. They’re mad about kids being exposed to sexually inappropriate literature… but she will read allegedly explicit literature in a public forum. Make it make sense.
- The folks speaking against measures A & B are predictably spouting christofascist nonsense and blatant lies. It’s the usual suspects speaking, too.
- Fascist Joe Pedick running his mouth - his church needs to be stripped of its 501c3 status.
- 94 speakers scheduled to speak tonight. Pastor Joe Peddick from the fashy Calvary Chapel of the “Harbour” is the second speaker. Herr Mayor Burns is telling the public that if we use foul language, make rude gestures, or otherwise annoy him, we may be charged with a misdemeanor and WILL be booted.
- Chad Williams is providing “educational” information about teen “liberry” cards being available to teens 13-17.
- They want to push their lawsuit against Newsom to the Supreme Court 🤣
- Invocation by the HBPD chaplain and the jingoistic nonsense known as the Pledge of Allegiance. Pass.
- Gonna live post from the Huntington Beach City Council meeting tonight. Here we go…
