Happy International Women's Day!
May every woman find their way into the room where their voice is most needed—whether that's a board room, a legislature, or a PTA meeting.
When we stand up and speak our values, women change the world!
At least you let everyone know your mental illness up front. So many people try to hide it and thats scarier to me.
At least you let everyone know your bigotry up front. So many people try to hide it and that’s scarier to me.
If believing men cannot become women is bigotted, this wouldn't have been a thing until like ten minutes ago. For the entirety of humanity this was common sense until those that prosper on the "under respresented" needed a new group to promote.
For most of humanity we didn’t have the capability to change our biology at will. The better question is, are you comfortable with giving the government the power to decide acceptable manners of dress and physical appearance, based on perceived sex at birth which isn’t necessarily accurate.
I didnt say that he can't live his life however he wants and, no, the government shouldnt stop him. But he doesn't get special rights because of his choice and his choices cannot infringe on the rights of others.
Ma’am, the government is trying to stop them. In Iowa it’s legal now to discriminate against trans people in everything from employment to buying a house. In Texas legislation was introduced to ban transitioning.
As it should be. You've been discrimiting between men and women your whole life. Literally every time you look at a person, you instantly know if they are a male or female, and you treat them differently because of it. As you woukd if you saw this man dressing like a woman. The TX law is for kids.
HB3399 strikes out child and replaces it with person. Try again.
I don’t treat people differently based on whether they are male or female, not in the way most people do. I don’t value women’s opinions less, I don’t talk over women, I don’t assume men are strong, or that women are weak.
I didnt say that treating them differently was equivalent to treating them poorly. You've never made a point to open a door for a woman?Never protected a woman from a man that would do her harm?Never shown respect to a woman that you would not show a man?Do you think women should be drafted to war?
When I was younger, before I realized I had an infantilized view of women and their capabilities, yes.
Now, I make a point to open the door for everyone, to protect everyone, and to show everyone the same respect. And yes, I do think women should be drafted to war, guns are the great equalizer.
If you were with your male friend and a female friend waling down the street, and a man comes out of nowhere with a knife, which of your friends are you more naturally going to protect with your life.
For me, my male buddy is on his own. Call me whatever you want, but that's just how men are made.
Depends on the group, my female spouse could take care of themselves in a fight better than most males I know. I'd prefer to live in a world where we all agree to 3v1 him though.
To me though, it sounds like in your mind, men are made to be expendable tools of protection against violent men.
And this is just one example of the differentiation that I was speaking of, not to belabor it.
