AGREED. I moved to California in part because they feed my kids breakfast and lunch every school day. I didn't have to sign up for it. It's the law here.

My son dated a kindergarten teacher (WA), and she was buying snacks on her own dime as a brand-new teacher because kids were coming to school hungry & kids don’t learn or behave well when they need food.

At age 3 w/school hrs from 8am to 4 pm all grades. This would address a majority of daycare issues for parents. And dramatically improve continuity of learning for kids that fall behind & require relearning after summer break. Would better support teachers & maintain dietary concerns, monitoring/2

Great idea. School districts try to distribute food and/ or meals during summer months. But that takes staffing, coordination and school building space. Summer EBT would eliminate the need for school resources, and give $ directly to families.

The only way to get anything passed is to make sure trump gets a cut.
