- Happy 43rd b’day to “Combat Rock” — the iconic LP by @theclash.com that featured “Rock the Casbah”. When writing, Joe Strummer said, “I started to think about what someone had told me .. that you get lashed for owning a disco album in Iran." (Hence the line, “Shareef don’t like it.”)

- Here’s the GFM where you can help the mom & her daughters & an update on the story on the #GestapoTactics of #CheetoFelon in #OKC kfor.com/news/local/f...
- This is how you do real investigations. You do not give the government a free pass. This whole situation is corrupt AF. DHS is operating as a criminal organization and KFOR is not afraid to call them out. kfor.com/news/local/h...

- I’m sure it’s been commented upon but everything takes me so much more time to accomplish now than it did even seven years ago. The information ecosystem has been sufficiently trashed to the point that every basic task of writing and publishing takes twice as long to complete. And I’m PRIVILEGED.
- I could do more work when I was much poorer and less institutionally embedded because I could trust publications, citations. I could aggregate high quality sources, untouched by advertising influence. Now I just made sure that a paper I read was actually from the journal it says it’s from

- I saw Sinners for the second time in the theater last week and I've probably seen two to three movies A YEAR in the the theater since having a baby/the global pandemic. I went again because, guess what, this movie rules.
- SINNERS is now the biggest Hollywood original movie of any kind at the box office since 2017 when Pixar's COCO came out. To find a live-action movie that made at least $200M domestic, we have to go back much further. This is truly bananas. www.slashfilm.com/1857902/sinn...

- I'm very impatient today about the type of things people say to me, real basic stuff here that folks seem to assume I am not aware of. How a budget works. An obvious industry summary stat. Why is it that proposing to change the system for people's benefit provokes this assumption?
