  • As a lawyer, yes this is correct. This is the advice I would give a client. But this guy did absolutely nothing wrong and the govt conduct is egregious. I’m not going to give him a hard time about his choices. The only people who did anything wrong are the ones who held him in custody. Full stop.

  • I’m old enough to have been told stories about “t-shirt deputies” in KY that were paid $5 per arrest. Same energy. Might even be the exact same thing.
    • It’s really striking how irregular the bands of mostly men conducting federal immigration enforcement are. They seem to have no particular uniform, they wear a variety of different agency initials on their tactical vests, or none at all, they’re inconsistent about displaying a badge…
