- More broadly: It's been . . . surprising . . . that . . . the new US administration seem to have premised their plans on such an incredibly delusional understanding of [literally choose anything] that it is shaken by the most minor encounters with reality.
- As a lawyer, yes this is correct. This is the advice I would give a client. But this guy did absolutely nothing wrong and the govt conduct is egregious. I’m not going to give him a hard time about his choices. The only people who did anything wrong are the ones who held him in custody. Full stop.
- I’m old enough to have been told stories about “t-shirt deputies” in KY that were paid $5 per arrest. Same energy. Might even be the exact same thing.
