- If you cave and talk the cops out of fear or weakness, I have sympathy. If you talk at length to the cops because you know you are just the bro to stand up to tyranny, and you talking at length to the cops is fighting the power, you’re a dipshit.
- Some people have criticisms of the administration torturing children but under a 5-4 Supreme Court decision written by Justice Alito it is technically not a federal crime, so to preserve accuracy and neutrality, we will not be calling it a crime against humanity. Tomorrow in the New York Times.
- This is getting a fair amount of scorn, and I’d say it deserves it. The hidden premise is that “corruption” requires the specific proof that the Supreme Court has decided (controversially) is required for certain very specific federal criminal statutes. /1
