- EDF recently reported #nuclear output numbers for France for Q1 - 2025. 102.7 TWh up 6.4% Y-Y. Good results. Nuclear output could surpass 400 TWh in 2025 - for the first time since 2015. #energysky
- And thats even with a lot of curtailment for mid-day solar. Blows my mind they do that.

- I wonder how many under-construction reactors China can handle simultaneously? Build times are currently 5-6 years. That would mean 50-60 reactors under construction. PRIS currently has 28 reactors listed as under-construction in China pris.iaea.org/PRIS/Country...
- China approves construction of 10 new nuclear reactors, the fourth year in a row in which 10 new reactors were initiated. China had 60 GW of nuclear power last year, expects 65 GW by end of this year, and 200 GW by 2040. www.bloomberg.com/news/article... Expected cost per reactor? $2.7 billion. 🔌💡 ⚛️

- 2) Poland has plans for three nuclear reactors to come online in 2036. In the meantime, they should continue to rapidly build out their home-grown wind and solar. #energysky Poland could easily have 2/3 of its electricity based on solar/wind BEFORE nuclear joins the party. #Poland

- CAISO continues to build out its battery storage. I expect this record will surpass 12,000 MW by Sept/Oct. @californiaiso.bsky.social #energysky One other note: similar to rooftop solar, consumers in CA continue to add battery storage to their homes. This is not included in these stats.

- Below are some numbers supporting John's comment. Also: 1) Solar/wind are faster than demand - big deal! 2) Nuclear will start contributing more during the rest of the decade. 3) If China has a down year economically (2025/2026), clean energy will displace a lot of coal.
- Good to see...

- Interesting... It's not just EV buyers who are looking for #Tesla alternatives. Will this sentiment spread to utility-scale storage as well? For instance, maybe @calcca.bsky.social members like @sonomacleanpower.bsky.social or @mcecleanenergy.org will look for #anythingbutTesla storage products.

- Thanks for this info Taylor. “Stupid is as stupid does”
- Dang! Will we have 1,000W by 2030? That would simplify the ordering for utility-scale projects. 😀
