- Steve Bannon is the worst, but he's also a former white house chief strategist and an influential member of the right-wing political machine. Good journalism means covering the people/ideas shaping our reality, even if we don't agree with them. Otherwise, we're just perpetuating the echo chambers.
- I used to before you went all in on kissing MAGA ass.
- I must be listening to a different NPR.

- Great to see China pressing forward w/ #cleanenergy even as Trump works to undermine it. The irony is not only is doubling down on #fossilfuels reckless for our climate, but it also means we're falling further behind in the economy of the future. #climatesky www.theguardian.com/environment/...
- To everyone that said Democrats like Van Hollen were making a political mistake in defending due process, you were wrong, and we shouldn’t even need a poll to tell us that.
- At the end of the day, doing the right thing shouldn't ever be about whether its popular.
- Three users on X who feuded with Elon Musk in December saw their reach on the social platform practically vanish overnight, The New York Times found, signaling that Musk or others at the company have the power to punish critics and that they may be willing to use it.

- This is truly madness. Not surprising, but horribly misguided nonetheless.
- Huge win for the large corporations and Republican political megadonors who make their money poisoning American families. How does polluting our air and water Make America Great Again?
- Indeed. Feels like the challenge is getting American voters to pay attention given all the other chaos being created by the current administration.

- Pulling back now on efficiency standards is the last thing we want to be doing, especially with the current federal rollbacks. Sure, some efficiency updates increase the upfront costs of housing, but those are always offset by the long-term benefits of lower operating costs.
- The Keystone pipeline system, which carries crude oil from Canada to the U.S., was shut down on Tuesday because of a leak that spilled an estimated 3,500 barrels of oil in southeastern North Dakota, government and company officials said.

- A week into President Donald Trump’s global trade war, stock markets remain volatile. Now, yields on the 10-year Treasury bond have jumped, signaling new panic. Here’s what to know.
- The madness continues.... but it may be the one thing that gets American voters to finally pay attention. #tarriffs #trump #savedemocracy

- These kinds of warnings are exactly what we need. The best way to scare politician into action is a threat to our economic well-being.
- "nothing could have prepared us for the breadth or intensity of the assault on climate action that Trump has unleashed during his first months back in office." I know it's hard to keep Trump's horrors straight, but in the fullness of history, this is likely to be seen as the worst.
- Yes, Trump's actions set us back at the very moment we need to be doing more faster. The big question is how will we respond? Remaining silent or throwing up our hands does nothing. We all need to be pushing our reps to do more.

- The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific. If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved
- And remind them to vote out their republican representatives that won’t vote against this attack on benefits
- Exactly. Until there are consequences for being spineless, the cowardice will continue
- If you are visiting the United States, having a negative view of Trump is enough to get you denied entry. If this was coming out of Russia or China, we would deplore such an authoritarian attack on freedom of expression.
- So on March 9, a French scientist, on a visa to attend a conference in Houston, was denied entry to the US and subsequently expelled because his phone had messages decrying scientific policies put forward by the Trump administration: www.lemonde.fr/internationa...

- That's great news! These lawsuits help bring the reality of the big oil's deception into the public eye and will hopefully bring significant financial consequences given the impact climate change is having on communities across the nation.
- Gas has its critics. Some – with some reason – see it as just another fossil fuel driving the climate crisis. But can gas demonstrate its value as a low carbon, reliable, affordable and flexible transitional fuel that can help deliver the energy transition? 🔌💡 #EnergySky #GreenSky #ClimateSky
- Come on guys, you can do better than this. It looks like you tapped the natural gas experts, but forgot the climate ones. Yes, fossil gas has a role to play, but it should be used strategically. Otherwise, we're merely pushing ourselves closer to a climate tipping point.
- Yes, fossil gas has advantages to coal, but this piece @woodmackenzie.bsky.social feels more big oil marketing campaign than a true analysis of it as a transition fuel. Yes, it has a role to play, but its also pushing us toward a climate tipping point, albeit less quickly. #climatesky #greensky

- I don't disagree. The majority of the country spends more time figuring out what Netflix series they want to watch than they do engaging in politics. I just think Americans who are in the know need to learn that outrage may be cathartic, but without action nothing changes.

- Totally agree. States have been huge drivers of our transition to renewables with RPSs and other mandates. At the same time, we need to lean on the Republican members of Congress who understand the threat of climate change and can protect the big wins like the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Another glaring example of how big oil is obstructing climate action knowing full well the consequences. The fires in L.A. show its long past time to hold them accountable for the damage they've fueled. #climatesky

- Worrying won't stop climate change. We need action and it starts with reframing the debate. Its either 1) invest in decarbonization today or 2) face economic ruin tomorrow... If people think inflation is bad now, just wait a decade.
