Add all trained 1979-2004 ca 325,000 or a total of 350,000ish www.defmin.fi/en/topical/p...

- Long range ballistic systems is a decisive component in changing the balance between Russian and Ukrainian military capacity. It will also play a key role if/when Ukraine do not get sufficient and necessary hard security guarantees for a peace agreement.

- Not quite - from the article: “The German Navy / NATO headquarters based in Rostock, Germany, known as Commander Task Force Baltic, also played an essential role in Baltic Express by coordinating all maritime activity across its area of responsibility.”
- Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen today restated the requirement of 🇩🇰naval vessels to be built in Denmark. She said that it is time to bid farewell to the idea that Denmark is no longer a shipbuilding nation and industry should take part in European naval shipbuilding. Link👇🏻

- Yes, indeed, and I think it probably helps in many situations where one does not fully understand the intricacies of a process.

- 🤣😀😂 never heard that one. Will pass it on to my law-making friends for their perspective ;-)

- That is actually something that proves my point: the candy was made post-1864 and has a peppermint taste, which was new and people were initially not fond of it because of its “bismag” (negative version of flavour) which quickly translated into “Bismarck” ;-)

- Yes, even the Iver Huitfeldt class frigates had their hull sections prepared in Estonia and Lithuania, so this would not be a new development.

- In Denmark the Bismarck name does not have any good vibes, but that is because of the man and not the ship ;-)

- If the plan really considers shipbuilding the next 30 years we could be easily build a capacity to do so and even get the hull sections from Poland, Lithuania or Estonia as previously. My main worry is the sensors, weapon systems and the integration.

- Would be a more fitting classification. Interesting that the 103 destroyer was about 4,700 tons in comparison. To add to the confusion: Danish frigate next to a French destroyer some years ago ;-)

- Agree, but Ze Germans call it a frigate too ;-)
- The 🇩🇰Danish defence budget will be increased even more than the 120bn DKK announced 22 February. Today, the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said: “We will need even more funding for defence. Already later this year” Link👇🏻
