Well, calling the F127 a „frigate“ is rather a stretch, anyway. Displaces 10,000t and is going to be heavily armed… even for a destroyer, it will be rather on the large side.

Would be a more fitting classification. Interesting that the 103 destroyer was about 4,700 tons in comparison. To add to the confusion: Danish frigate next to a French destroyer some years ago ;-)

If the F127 really reaches 10 000 tons, we should start calling it a light cruiser just to really annoy the Germans and their frigate fetish.

Indeed, HMS BELFAST is a very good example of a similar tonnage.

The Germans are building pocket cruisers, someone should tell them the Washington Treaty isn't a thing anymore.
