Which is why I implicated the respective govts and not the economic system. Unfortunately greed and corruption have been the constant throughlines there. It's been somewhat less of a problem here until recent decades, and especially in our current administration.

He knows his administration is incompetent. If tariffs become complex, “nobody knows” what the policies will be, I guess. It’s not like there will be an entire federal government executing the policies after they’ve dismantled it all. They’ll probably have an intern tracking exemptions in Excel.
