- Work has decided that all employees, after over 125 years of not needing to, now need to declare any possible conflicts of interest. So I itemized my tiny brokerage account that has fractional shares in a shit-ton of various companies, only 3 of which have even the slightest possibility of COI.
- I just realized I should also have mentioned I'm related to an agent by (her) marriage. I think we're first cousins once removed, but might be second cousins. I lost track. Eh, I'll file an addendum tomorrow.

- Ooooo, this book pissed me off. The pear tree in my backyard is nearly at the end of its fruit bearing years, & we're leaving it even after that time has passed, because she deserves a nice retirement. She's given us decades of fruit and shade, so until she dies she stays put.

View full threadReminds me of a family story. My grandparents had a house at Lookout Mountain, GA—until they redrew the state line to run right through the house. State of residence depended on the location of the primary bedroom. So they briefly lived in TN until they built a new primary bedroom on the GA end.
- I love that they were so resistant to living in TN that they built a new primary bedroom just so they didn't.
