- One of the few things I can genuinely praise our Tories for: they have proven that they don’t care about race or sex. As long as you are an incompetent opportunist, they will put you are the top of the party. (Honestly- it’s the one thing I like about them: they are a inclusive in this way)

- First Poilievre in Canada loses his seat, then Dutton in Australia. These are good signs that signify the Trump brand is toxic. But I’m saddened that I know that in this country Farage is on the rise. Don’t people realise he is in the same party as Trump? Stupid rise of fascism. Ruining everything.
- Todays cocktail is a daiquiri made with fresh mango and chilli. May have over done the chilli but wow- its tastes amazing

- I know it’s not the most important thing currently. But I will forever be fascinated by the fact that the people surrounding Trump *constantly* look like Scooby Doo villains and people don’t talk about that fact! In an age of optics, surely this proves that it means nothing.

- Literally the worst prime minister we have ever had. And it’s a small ray of hope that we got rid of her so quick. It’s laughable that she thinks she can pull a Trump. Most American’s find Trump ridiculous but he is also loved. No one likes Truss in Britain.

- If there was one main takeaway I took from researching Trump for his episode, it was that he is incapable of admitting a mistake. So he is now in an impossible situation: He played his hand poorly and will have to back down. But he is psychologically incapable of doing it. Something will break.

- I love Mike Duncan. He influenced me enough to start Totalus Rankium 9 years ago. But The History of Rome has led to a lot of people thinking they are an expert in something because they listened to a podcast. (I would put money on this being all the ‘research’ on Rome that Musk has ever done)
- The strange situation is that Musk is the only person around Trump who can openly say what most know. Unlike everyone else, Musk doesn’t need Trump so every now & then he will come away from the official narrative. This would be a small positive but for one thing: Musk is as much a #*%*$¥ as Trump.

- Not sure I agree here. What seems to be important about signalgate so far is that it is showing that the press can have a backbone. If the press grow bolder, the public will follow. The 4th estate is riddled with problems- but it is still a bulwark when the others fail.
- Incompetence³ Talking about this on a commercial app x inviting a journalist x lying about what was said in the chat when THEY KNEW THE JOURNALIST HAD THE CHAT! It’s a lie that was only going to last hours. How did they think ‘no we didn’t!’ was a plausible strategy!? I teach smarter 10 year olds

- This is a hugely important point. A lot of the problems we face today stem from greed. And the retention of important information in the hopes of it increasing in value is one that is perhaps overlooked.
