- Rep. Julie Johnson to Noem: "Are you aware that ICE agent jackets are available on Etsy for $20? Anybody can throw a mask on and run around and terrorize people of color without any regard for the law because your agency does not have proper protocols to make sure your agents are clearly identified"

- They hide behind ski masks or balaclavas, wearing no badge, sloppy clothes. They threaten anyone who asks for ID or warrant with arrest, leave little kids alone in cars and push around 80-year-old congresswomen Why are ICE agents such cowardly wusses? - This is the moment I was invited into Delaney Hall. Nobody was kicking or shoving like the coverage suggests. We were invited in.

- I genuinely don't think good counter-messaging on trans rights is all that difficult. There are Democrats who aren't doing it not because coming up with it is hard but because they agree with the Republicans and want to disguise their disdain for trans people as a matter of political strategy.

- i don't have a strong opinion on snyder and his contemporaries moving to canada. but telling us we're not doing enough to help ourselves as you pack your bags is pretty galling.

- just a really long sustained and, as it goes on, increasingly obviously sarcastic round of applause to every Democratic op who is still pushing the utterly failed "culture war stuff is just a distraction" narrative and using "woke" as a pejorative. Republicans are gross weirdos just keep saying it.

- Absolutely cooked.
- Many American voters are likely to excessively overcorrect from 2024-2025 to look for honest, authentic, effective, consistent communicators who don’t rely on slogans and platitudes in 2026-28. They aren’t plentiful.
- You can't make this up. ICE left a 12-year-old completely abandoned on the street after abducting the adult he was with. www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/...

- This epitomizes one of the biggest problems with the "new right," which is that many of them cannot distinguish between "cancel culture" and "having standards." You simply do not have to praise someone for saying "Heil Hitler." That's not intellectual bravery. It's depravity.
- tens of billions of robots for which they don't even have a working, functional proof of concept, sure, why not. apple has manufactured around 2.4B iphones since 2007, in case you're wondering just how dishonest and ridiculous this claim is.
- MUSK, in Riyadh: "My prediction, actually, for humanoid robots is that ultimately they will be tens of billions. I think everyone will want to have their personal robot. You can think of it like, as though you had your own personal C-3POor R2-D2. But even better. @cnbc.com $TSLA
- Since 2022, my colleagues and I have been targeted by political attacks. Early on, we worried that political actors would specifically target our projects & universities for defunding. But in the end, they came after everyone. The strategy of keeping heads down was never the right one.
- Great article with lots of perspectives from scientists who are scared to speak out — and other scientists who are scared of what will happen if they don't. Trump & Musk & Kennedy are devastating U.S. research and setting progress back decades www.science.org/content/arti... on @science.org
- Once again I had to park my own car at a valet station because the valet didn't know how to drive manual; this doesn't bother me and in fact I find it amusing, but it certainly brings home that I really am from a different age of the world now.
- Oh this one is worse than the usual one, because lots of lawyers, plus the judge *told* them there were hallucinations, and they resubmitted the brief with hallucinations.
