- I was excited when a Northern Mockingbird showed up in the garden yesterday. New one for the yard! He has not shut up since. I will pay any willing female mockingbird in the vicinity her weight in peanuts to fuck him so he quiets down.
- I used to have a single robin near my apartment that would sing at 1am instead of 4am like all the respectable birds. I have never fantasized so hard about throwing a stone at a bird.

- My dream is that he legally changes his name just like Jamie 🔊 Loftus 🔊 does as foretold by the dino wars series on Cool People
- Same. A lot of Bastards episodes I find oddly comforting re-listening (except some of the more gruesome). I think it's something about hearing people I trust tell important stories with empathy and that systemic/anarchist bent.
- T Kingfisher scratches the same itch for me in a different way. All her stuff is some of my favorite rereads.

- When I was a kid, I somehow got in my head that it was illegal (?) for anyone to be named “Pope,” and then I met a friend of my mom’s whose last name was “Pope” and I was scandalized, despite being more or less Methodist.
- “Bizarre things you firmly believed when a kid” is one of my favorite genres and I firmly believe we all have excellent examples if we can remember them
- I used to call the genitals the "front butt". They're private and you go to the bathroom from there, so...!

- i knew it. for some reason my brain thinks the word "Dan" suits Jordan's voice, and vice versa, and I spent a whole BTB ep thinking of them backwards until they got to their plugs at the end
- seeing the phrase "radically inclusive comedy" made me think of James Ross and now I need a podcast with him and... Dan or Jordan from Knowledge Fight, I always mix up their names, but the one with the higher voice, who gets loud. Blow out some microphones for good

- Scientists have successfully reinforced wood with nanocrystalline iron, creating a stronger, eco-friendly building material with minimal weight gain. This alternative to steel and concrete in buildings and bridges could significantly reduce carbon emissions. buff.ly/ytdHz5o #ShareGoodNewsToo
