- I really feel like more people need to constructively engage with this! You can think the moderation/centrism discourse is often braindead (as I do!) but the center left really needs a pretty robust convo about what winning, say, an Iowa or Kansas or Texas or Ohio senate seat would look like.
- I think you can make a very convincing argument it doesn't, for instance, require denigrating and dehumanizing trans folks, but what *affirmatively* does it look like to run, say, 8 points ahead of the national ticket? What positions/rhetoric/candidate bio would make that possible?
- One thing you will *have* do is, in a maximally attention-grabbing way, distinguish yourself from your electorate’s perception of a “generic democrat.” McCain was extremely smart about picking one or two Big Issues where he waged holy war on his own party and something along those lines might work.

- Cuomo’s campaign is the first time I have actually felt like the bsky bubble thing is reasonable, basically everything I see about him (haven’t lived in nyc for ~15 years) is appropriately negative (and true/accurate) but somehow he’s ahead? Even though he sucks such obvious ass?
- BlueSky is *preposterously* unrepresentative, ideologically. I mean I really like it here bur yeah.
- Not gonna link to it, but genuinely think there is zero news value to the Facebook posts of the pope’s brother. He’s just a random private citizen whose brother happened to become pope. Good takes, bad takes, truly terrible takes - still not a news story.
- Brunson is just so fun to watch. So small, no natural advantages, and just absolutely cooks everyone.
