- The Dems saw that David Hogg was anti-gerontocracy and said his PAC might primary currently seated Dems (something a majority of Dem voters agree on rn) and they said "Fuck off forever" almost immediately, and got rid of him in a way almost custom designed to lose voters and empower the right lol.

View full threadDems treat public office as a personal right: “Joe Biden has earned the right to decide when he leaves,” “Nancy Pelosi is Speaker until she doesn’t want to be,” “Even tho he’s a drooling vegetable, he’s earned the right to be chair of this committee and only he can decide when to step down.”
- Public office is a public trust that the holder has to be worthy of EVERY DAY. The office is owned by the people and you hold it at their sufferance. It’s not a personal thing.
- The people saying “who cares” miss the fact that the same people who allowed all this to happen ARE STILL IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS and refuse to cede power. They let 2 barely-cogent geriatrics get ranking member slots b/c “it was their turn,” which is the 100% wrong lesson from the Biden fiasco.

- Hahahahaha oh my god. These people are so ridiculous.
- They just don’t seem to get that messaging for its own sake works! Her Emails became A Thing because the GOP knows that if they just made a big enough deal and enough noise, people would discuss it. Same with Hunter Biden. Trump has given Dems 1000 serious issues but….silence.
- If Dems just picked one outrage - “he’s trying to erase all non-white/straight people!” “He’s corrupt as fuck” “His Qatari jet!” Etc etc - and ALL talked about it dramatically to everyone they saw for a month straight, IT WOULD HAVE AN IMPACT. Instead they think tweeting once is enough, move on.
