- Simple: Rentals are temporary accommodations (also know as a hotel) dressed up as if they were a home. An Apartment Rental is not a long term home and we have to stop allowing it to be substituted as such. Through a rental moratorium, we are stopping landlords from exploiting our communities.
- You sound like my most conservative boomer neighbors who long to disenfranchise anyone who hasn't owned a single family home in the city for at least two decades. 🤦♂️

- I'm just telling you, as a long-term renter who is never going to have income, savings or credit good enough to ever buy a house in Arlington, keeping rents low here is my number #1 priority and that is best achieved through increasing the number of units available for rent.

- I gave feedback yesterday. Generally, I think it’s pretty decent, but good luck crossing two lanes of Clarendon or Wilson without a driver threatening you on your way there. (That’s the feedback I gave)
- Was wearing my “Reykjavík, Iceland, Est. 874” t-shirt and two people stopped me to ask about Iceland. I think I convinced the one guy to visit, but the second person was the crossing guard I talk to regularly, and it turns out she’s been four times! Going again in July!
