- Today's Sun in Hydrogen alpha. First shot with my Ha scope since October. It's now in the AstropotaPOD (instead of a free-standing tripod) and I barely had a chance to turn it on before the #Sun started setting behind trees. Better images later this week. #Heliophysics #Astrophotography ☀️🔭🦛
- This night, my son and I camped near Wheeler Peak. Instead of climbing in the sleeping bag, I wandered around the night looking for some cool #nightscapes. This was one of my favorites. Looking forward to more nights this year. #darkskies #newmexico #astrophotography #astro #camping @nikonUSA @MSR
- Tonight’s 99.7% full micromoon… through clouds and haze with my iPhone and Questar 3.5 at 87.5x magnification. #astronomy #photography #astrophotography #moon
- 🌔 Last night’s nearly full moon… I processed this image with what is called a “mineral moon” palette, which reveals subtle differences in colors indicating the presence of different minerals such as iron, titanium, aluminum, and magnesium. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

- God bless this man and his #astrophyics on behalf of all the #astrophotography people on BlueSky! This is an awesome program!
- Finding the line yesterday took nearly 300 iterations of badly performing searches to find the observation points. It failed often and took ages to solve. Now I use vectors-I've reduced the calculations to a few iterations whilst finding the observation site to within 10 meters😎 #AstroMethods
- So, after another ten days of rain, I took advantage of a few hours of finally clear skies to try and capture the famous Sombrero Galaxy (M104) for the first time myself, in these very last scraps of galaxy season—irremediably compromised by truly harsh weather. 🔭 #Astrophotography

- Transit of #exoplanet WD 1856+534 b across its white dwarf host star. An unusual system where we see a small white dwarf star partially occulted by a giant planet every 1.4 days, resulting in a much deeper decrease in brightness than most exoplanet transits. #Astrophotography
- #astronomy #astrophotography I got the last piece of equipment for my new telescope setup. The William Optics UniGuide 50/200 in black/red matches very well. I also got a Vixen/finder rail to attach it without any possible flex. The red anodization doesn't match 100%, but it's still looking great 🥰
- 1500 light years from us, in the Cepheus region, you will find NGC 7023, the Ghost Nebula. This dark reflection nebula is a tough target, I had to get to dark skies to complete this 18 hour LRGB image.✨🔭 #astrophotography #astronomy #space #photography #telescope #ghost
- I've started some Mars and the Beehive exposures, despite the sky being a touch too light. 🔭 🧪 #astrophotography
