- If you use Xata for your production Postgres, you'll see a nice performance boost at a better price. Up to 80% better value per unit of performance when compared to Amazon Aurora. This is partially due to the distributed storage system that we use, see below.
- Xata uses an architecture that separates storage from compute. We’ve partnered with @simplyblock.io in order to integrate their distributed software-defined storage system in the Xata platform. Simplyblock uses NVMe/TCP and SPDK for ultra-high performance and low latency.
- If you want to use Xata for staging/dev, you can set up data copying and anonymization from your existing Postgres to a staging replica on the Xata platform. This is great for companies that deal with sensitive data, yet want instant data branches for development with realistic data.
- @pgconf.dev kicks off today in Montréal 🇨🇦 and we’re proud to support as a Bronze sponsor. Grab some ✨ sparkly Xata stickers at the front desk! We donated a ticket 🎟️ through @pgus.bsky.social to support broader access and representation 🌍 #PGConfDev #Postgres
- 🛠️ pgroll v0.12.0 just dropped! New in this release: • Interactive create command • --verbose mode for migration clarity • Add primary keys with create_constraint • migrate is now idempotent for safer CI • YAML is default for pull 🦋 Read the blog:

- Xata is one of the few female-founded companies in the Postgres world, and 40% of our team are women. Because inclusion is built, not wished for. Proud to host another "Women In Postgres" breakfast at #PGConfDE in Berlin. Great breakfast, even greater conversations! 💜
