- It was a big part of modernity, definitely! (Though there'd been almost three centuries of that kind of stuff by 1789.) There was defnitely a lot of Posting during the Revolution, undeniably -- led by the OG Jean-Paul Marat.
- Thomas Paine, Alexander Hamilton, and Ben Franklin (others too, but especially them) would be tremendous(ly annoying) in the age of social media
