- I uhh don't understand how that's a foul on Jokic
- It’s because of the senate map
- @lauren-egan.bsky.social @lakshya.splitticket.org Wondering why there's so much ink spilled on how and why Democrats should moderate but when Republicans were in the minority post-2020, there was little (no?) such writing about the GOP. Is the GOP free from the need to moderate? Why?
- Democrats have to worry about appealing to much more conservative voters in order to have a legislative majority. Sucks but it’s true!

- Anyway I think broadly too few people have been acknowledging that Zohran can’t win because it’s not cool and they don’t want to make his voters mad because of RCV but Zohran can’t win and figuring out if Brad, Adrienne or Zell can is the question imo.
- I’m supporting Zellnor but I also think at end of day I want Zohran’s votes going to one of Brad/Adrienne/Z and not the other way around in the final three and the lack of consolidation could mean a Condorcet winner is locked out of final 2.
- One thing I’ve not seen discussed really is the way in which algorithmic recommendation reinforces feedback loops for news about politics. The most malleable part of the electorate, namely people who get their news from non newspapers/tv, can have big swings in their news habits without knowing it.
- Negativity bias means that bad news spreads and gets recommended more. Meaning that incumbency effects might actually be negative for the president now? Regardless recommendation divorced from social graph has probably made the thermostat much more sensitive.
