Watched a video where this guy (Mario Tomic) talked about a "strategic calorie buffer". He eats a smaller breakfast + lunch, and saves up 50% of the calorie budget for dinner because it's easier to make up a deficit than going "oh crap I have 150 cals left".
I like it.
Apr 22, 2025 15:17In my case I eat breakfast and lunch by myself, and dinner with the family. It's easier to perfectly weigh my breakfast/lunch/snacks because they're simpler foods, than dinner which is usually far more complex recipes like honey garlic chicken or meatloaf.
An analogy here probably is to be more mindful of your spending budget during the week when you're solo, because you go out with friends on weekends and have slightly less control over restaurant bills.
