- Nudged first by the excerpts posted here and then by bsky.app/profile/jack..., I remembered wanting to mention what I call "productive naïveté". It can be so communitarian and helpful to ask questions nobody else will/can.

- 4 days to gather in New Haven to ask a second time, Who Owns Black Data? This year's theme is "The Past in Danger." Carla Hayden, the most qualified person to ever hold the position of chief librarian was just fired yesterday. We don't think we exaggerate when we say the past is in danger. #wobd2025

- #NutmegSky If you lost federal funding recently, Connecticut would like to know. Report confirmed issues at www.appsvcs.opm.ct.gov/FedImpact My gloss is that you should report issues even if they are covered by an ongoing civil suit or other judicial process, just don't report hearsay.

- Reposted by Trip KirkpatrickI've shared so many concrete examples including trainings, toolkits etc... of ICE WATCH, ICE Rapid Response Networks etc... I would honestly be surprised if anyone who has come across the resources has followed up on them. The gap between "outrage" and action is the size of the Grand Canyon.
- Reposted by Trip KirkpatrickI hope it is very clear what antisemitism looks like, and I'll tell you what, it's not an op-ed condemning genocide. Consider that while Rumeysa Öztürk spent 6 weeks in prison for her constitutionally protected speech, the president's friend wouldn't dream of worrying about such a thing.

- Reposted by Trip KirkpatrickThis is a good interview and not because of the shout out (although thank you!). It accurately points out how anti-science tech has become. The thermodynamics point alone is worth the read. Because it’s become a folk theory among AI shills but their science is wrong!
- @adambecker.bsky.social I didn't know who you were when I woke up today, but an author quoting @tressiemcphd.bsky.social and Ursula LeGuin in an article about why, among other things, colonizing Mars is a delusional fantasy hits every checkbox I need to go buy your book.

- It's always time to take strong political action AND Students are gone, graduation is on the 19th, reunions the weekend after that. I worry these students are going to get defeated by a highly motivated administration when there's hardly anyone around to bear witness.
