9-1-1: 118 Continues to Grieve for Captain Nash, Familiar Faces Reappear, Water Becomes Fire?!

When we lose the ones we love, we try our best to move on while keeping their memories alive in our hearts. The 118 still grieves for the passing of their beloved captain as they begin to adjust to their new normal. Hen is also hesitant about potentially becoming the new captain. I thought the writers listened to the fans and brought Captain Nash back at the beginning of the episode. When it turned out to be Buck remembering the good times, the feels were hit once again. The scene where Buck goes to confession at church was a bit hard to watch, as I never pegged him as a religious person, but I get that Buck wants to feel close to the father-figure and friend he lost.

When it first happened, she thought it was one of her seven roommates, figuring that the latter was getting up to go to the bathroom. Still groggy with sleep, the young woman soon returned to Dreamland. Almost all of her roommates were not staying at the dormitory the next night. Some had gone home to be with their families, while others either met up with their boyfriends for a date or with other friends for a fun night out on the town.

Captain Nash Laid to Rest, 118 Mourns Loss, Athena Helps Grieving Mother

Grief can affect us in different ways. We may be heartbroken, sad, and angry, or we may want to blame the person who left us for making us face the rest of our lives alone. Though we desperately wish we could have had more time with them, that they could stay with us forever, it's simply impossible. The members of the 118 firehouse and Sergeant Athena Grant let the dark cloud of grief hang over them as they say goodbye to a beloved captain, mentor, husband, father, and friend. Chimney's survivor's guilt reminds me of when Maddie was going through post-partum depression.

9-1-1: 118 Faces Contagion, Mad Scientist Lady Steals Deadly Virus.

Firefighters are trained to save lives, no matter the circumstances. They risk their lives to save others. However, when a deadly CCHF outbreak is possible, it seems that not even LAPD Sergeant Athena Grant can save the day. I was practically on the edge of my seat when Captain Nash rushed to the burning pile of vehicles to save the woman's baby from the latter's car. The behind-the-scenes footage that I saw online immediately sprang to mind as I thought the worst when the bus exploded. Thankfully, the fire captain and the infant made it out safely, much to the relief of the 118.
