- Things I want to do if I ever get better: Learn to fix up cars. I always wanted to. There's nothing like the satisfaction of watching a broken object start running again when you're done with it. There's something special about working with your hands.
- I’m not going to lie…it was one of my favorite things to do as a physician. A procedure that you knew would make someone better. Something that might not cure, but would bring back function and ease discomfort. No better feeling.

- Had a parent accuse a teacher in my dept of indoctrination today. Claimed her child said the word god at home and was concerned about brainwashing in their classroom…. Can’t make this shit up. #modernteaching.

- Do they still say the Pledge of Allegiance in your school? Has the word. Did the kid see a dollar bill? Has the word. Did the kid’s parent have a bad day (Goddammit!)? There’s the word. Maybe tell the mom that if she were a BETTER person she’d stop blaming others for her own inadequacies.
- The problem is simply that if it were Joe Biden it would be a major departure from normal, a true scandal. For Trump it’s merely par for the course and not necessarily the worst thing that has happened out of Washington on any given day.

- I would argue this is a compelling and mandatory read for everyone. I have but one disagreement with the judge: the sentence “Our system of checks and balances has been strained before, but democracy…and the rule of law have always won the day,” proven by minority rule by Mitch McConnell and others
- And of course one must assume that the Chinese and Russians as well as the Qataris will have bugged that plane to within an inch of its life.
