- So many Bluesky moderates get pissy when you criticize Dem leadership, meanwhile those Dems are doing Trumpy shit like this
- I have three types of TTRPG characters 1. Physically and morally repugnant coward sadist who eats corpses 2. Obnoxious pseud 2. LEEROY JENKINS
- In @nytopinion.nytimes.com “Across the world, we’ve seen democracy in retreat,” writes A.G. Sulzberger, the publisher of The New York Times. “This anti-press playbook is now being used here in this country — and it could not come at a more difficult time for the American press.”
- Hi NYT, since you're probably as confused by the replies here as you are by the basic responsibilities of journalism, here's some help:
- Oh the string of profanity I just let out. Fuck this guy. He will go down as one of the absolute worst chief justices in history. Not just modern history. ALL OF HISTORY.
- John Roberts, who has abdicated the Supreme Court's role in government and through his decisions, has facilitated the deforming of the government's structure and the debilitation of public education, would like to blame the teachers, thank you very much. www.politico.com/news/2025/05...
- How can that loser show his face anywhere, let alone say shit like this, without getting heckled into oblivion?
- TODAY the NYT publishes an investigation into the Trump memecoin $TRUMP and how it has turned into a extraordinary venue for foreign influence campaigns. What we are seeing is potentially corrupt attempts to change US policy by paying the Trump family money. This is no "Russian Hoax" nyti.ms/4kkv7D7

It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
- Awesome that your pinned post is about "bringing accountability", just peak comedy. A superb setup to this sublime rhetorical pratfall, simply a tour-de-force performance from a true master of clownery.
- Off to Sinners round 2, and this time with my wife! Hopefully I didn't oversell it.
- She liked it, thank goodness
- I was explicitly told (if I were to ever believe NYT on things like this) that Sinners was "a long way off from profitability". Ive also been told by loud, armchair critics and even politicians that "Go Woke, Go Broke" and that films like this were DEI. Are people just out here... lying? 🫢
- So, the profitability part is less a "lie", and more a *threat*. It's still interesting that studios felt so threatened by Coogler's deal that they put it into mainstream media that they can just decide that a wildly successful movie doesn't "count as" profitable.
- Don't worry though, once we retake the White House we can have a DoJ that spends four years casually pondering how it might be illegal and if they can do anything about it, instead of one that just insists it's legal.
- finally saw Inside Llewyn Davis, basically because Ryan Coogler cited it as a Sinners inspiration.
