- Ukrainian President Zelenskyy responded to Putin and it is a quite clever response. He welcomes it, but subtly preconditions the peace negotiations with the ceasefire starting tomorrow.
- Putin‘s statement completely ignores the ceasefire demand, but throws another bread crumb so that more hollow headlines are produced. It is a delaying tactic and an attempt to split the West, where the weak-minded in the West would fall for that.
- The US have approved a transfer of 125 HIMARS missiles and 100 Patriot missiles to Ukraine. The missiles have been part of German inventories, but needed approval from Washington. They are already on their way to Ukraine. Source: NYT
- The Ukrainian offer for a ceasefire starting Monday while having the representatives of major powers sitting in Kyiv is a masterclass of political maneuvering. It leaves the ball squarely in the Russian court and no matter what Moscow decides, it will bring Russia in a less favorable position.
