- So, 1 year ago today, after spending the previous (entire) night at Blanchetown enjoying my first big aurora, I headed out again. This time to Eudunda. And it was even better than the night before! Just incredible! I'll never forget it.

- Thanks to everybody who chimed in! I arrived at the conclusion that (1) there's a lot of interesting stuff about interactions and (2) the figure I was looking for does not exist. So, I made it myself! Here's a simple illustration of how to control for confounding in interactions:>

- When I saw this little guy in the hollow I figured the Powerful Owls weren't using this tree this year for nesting, though there were another couple of really good hollows in the same tree. Boobooks and POwls will often live close to each other, but that would be too close. #brisbane #birds #wildoz
