Scrawny Miller's actual argument is, "I hate everyone, and it deeply pleases me to be able to bully and mistreat people who can't fight back." That's not an argument that stands up anywhere, in any way.

I hate it when anyone makes a rational argument against someone as nonsensical as Stephen Miller. A few days ago, from the White House Briefing room Stephen Miller stated that teachers are coordinating sex change procedures on children without parental consent. All he spews is evil nonsense.

SM is an undocumented immigrant with a criminal history. Deport him to El Salvador with no due process immediately. I wonder how he’d respond to that if someone said it to his face. (I have my guess what he’d say, and I think we need to push him to say it.)

This is the essential logic of due process that is inescapable: there is no fact of any matter without a process that establishes the facts.

Not to mention that some of the folks being deported without due process were not even "trespassers"—they followed the law to apply for asylum, for instance ... if you present your asylum claim at an immigration point of entry, how are you trespassing?

Let's repeat that loudly... due process is needed to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.

If you're an "undesirable," you can be deported. Your asylum claim doesn't matter. If you're accused of a crime, you can be deported. Due process to prove you're a criminal doesn't matter. Being undocumented is a civil offense. Doesn't matter. You can be deported. Doesn't matter is the policy.

Due process is a two-way street. If undocumented immigrants have no right to due process, then our gov’t has no right to charge, try, & incarcerate those who have committed heinous crimes while within our borders & the only remedy is to return them to their country of origin.

Exactly. Stripping due process assumes you’ve already proven who qualifies for exclusion, which, ironically, requires due process. You can't bypass the rule of law by declaring someone outside it before the law has had its say. That’s not justice. It’s authoritarianism in a legal costume.
