IIRC the Energy Star program is also one of the most successful climate programs ever. Massive, massive amounts of electricity saved over decades, for the smallest possible cost.

This is going to hurt business. It’s a competitive differentiator for many companies. I worked for one of those companies, who put a lot of time and resources to achieve Energy Star ratings with some of our products. Those efforts were for nothing now.

Another way to raise consumer costs and harm the environment at the same time. So this is the GOP platform. Great job Mike Johnson and John Thune on enabling and facilitating the anti-consumer GOP platform.
