- OO is definitely one of those bands that sounds a little different on every album but one consistency is that they're *very* good at making use of a riff. on FINAL DAYS especially.

- I've been obsessed with this since I found this article when I was a teenager
- honestly most of Orden Ogan's FINAL DAYS would count for this but "In the Dawn of the AI" is probably my favorite youtu.be/cAYvwbUUhD0

- apparently NBA coverage wasn't ghoulish enough
- I haven't seen this level of flagrant BS since the attempted rates by 4chan politics board members on Tumblr trying to pass themselves as BLM supporters. Put Rainbows Always Win on your block list. This is suspect as hell.
- even if it's not BS (it is), it's fuckin weirdo shit that shouldn't be given a platform
- it's just really nice not to have to take care of more than like 10 square yards... of... yard

- There's never been a particularly confusing time for young men when compared to other subgroups but the desire for easy answers has always resulted in healthy markets for grifters who stand to gain from telling people whatever it is they want to hear even if it's to the detriment of their audience.

View full threadthis is obviously a massive generalization of some really complicated history but that overarching theme informed a lot of how I watched Sinners
- this book came out while I was in my undergrad music degree - my advisor at the time had me read it and it opened my eyes to a lot of stuff. kinda dense and academic obvs but a really good read if you're into connections between art history and music!
- [Not loaded yet]
- yeah! one of the big takeaways of my musicology degree was the through-line of American popular music largely being Black people taking African musical traditions and responding to their environment in the US (minstrel shows and country dances in the 19th c. to the blues to ragtime to jazz, etc.)
- [Not loaded yet]
- especially in the context of blues music! we arguably don't get the blues as we know it without Black/Irish cultural interplay during the 19th century
