- This sort of stuff, like abuse of the flag (flying it off a truck, thin blue line), is exactly the sort of stuff that my Iowa-born grandmother loathed and saw as evidence of a low and unpatriotic character.
- Since it seems everybody is waiting for the white house to give Trump something to sign tomorrow morning on drug prices, here’s some reading from @hjarman.bsky.social @martinmckee.bsky.social and Tamara Hervey on the first Trump administration’s batty approach pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30017548/
- While I want the Supreme Court to tap the brakes on Trump’s authoritarianism, I also fear that if SCOTUS does some last minute good it will divert attention from the fact that the decisions of its Republican majority put us here. - Please watch THIS particular interview, shared by @prisonculture.bsky.social to get the play by play on what happened. Getting arrested for protesting is a king move, but that's not what happened here. This was a goddamned grab and sack. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUjf...
- “If I am approved, UF will remain a campus where all students are safe, where differing views can be heard and where the rule of law is respected.” Doubtful.
- Why is IHE publishing a press release?
