- We need more studies like this👍 thank you Sam
- Can Inter play Barca every week?
- A student turned in a paper filled with citations that they clearly didn't read or understand. I called them in to chat about their violation of my AI policy. They looked shocked, 'I wrote this.' They said. 'Ok, tell me about the texts.' They couldn't. So, why didn't they think they had cheated?...
- What really bothers me about how redundancies in UK unis are handled is the unnecessary cruelty caused by the unskilled foresight/planning. In the three years prior to my former UK dept's redundancy scheme, they hired SIX!! 🤯 new permanent FT faculty, three of whom moved internationally for the job.
- How is hiring six people (internationally even 🤯) only to make the entire faculty redundant three years later anything but a complete absence of skill in management. This is why I can sadly never recommend my colleagues in the US take positions in the UK, even during these dire political times.

- the problem with “tech journalism” is that we had 2 decades of mainly white men regurgitating press releases about new cell phones and usb ports on laptops who now are their own publishing platforms while being unable to grasp how the future became automated high frequency feudalism
