I keep meaning to text my four-year-old about which Dodgers shirt he wants but I also keep forgetting that he doesn't own a phone and can't read
(simplifying the situation for humorous effect; he absolutely can read some three- and four-letter words and has an amazing grasp of phonics)
The speed at which this generation grasps touch screens is frankly astonishing to me, it wouldn't take him long to get up to speed with a smartphone I bet
Oh to be clear it's absolutely intentional that I have not purchased my four-year-old a smartphone. Like fully on purpose, it's not a skill issue lol
Mar 26, 2025 20:35Yeah... sometimes I regret letting mine become familiar with them (and the iPad...) that early. Oh well, lol. He has no phone but he played with mine sometimes at a young age.
