- I’ve been having such audiobook woes after getting sucker-punched by my ex narrator, I’ve been crawling into other narrators inboxes begging, figuring out how to set up a kickstarter, and even practicing narrating myself. At no point did I ever consider using a shitty robot. See how easy that is?

- Just finished a ‘final’ (final final) draft of a fun YA with a dark edge and lots of jokes featuring an autistic MC at 73k and words, which feels like a lovely little number compared to my usual explosion of overproduction 🥰
- I really enjoyed Assassination Classroom, probably because the MC is the exact sort of character I love to write. An absolute sweet little cinnamon roll, but when you push him too hard you find out exactly what his filling is. It’s murder, everyone.

- Today by the swimming at our hotel I saw a little bird plop into the pool. It was struggling so I jumped in and retrieved it. It was very soggy and must’ve been in a fight cos it had a leg torn off. I couldn’t help it and it was probably going to die, so I took it to the staff and cried 🥲

My character’s the writer turning 40, still hasn’t got a book deal and is distracted by how hot everyone is, but can’t stand being perceived. Yes I cropped this deliberately.
