- Almost every day now, there's a news report that sounds like it was written in the late-medieval period. www.independent.co.uk/news/science...

- #NowPlaying Wojciech Kilar's excellent #score for The Ninth Gate. I'm in a 'witches, enchaunters and other instrumentes of sorcerie and Witch-craft who art but fearefull detestable slaues of the Deuill' kind of mood. #soundtrack #cinema
- #Painting exercise. I thought I'd attempt to 'flesh out' the famous portrait of #Shakespeare created for the frontispiece of his First Folio collection of plays. I used the identical proportions (bar wonky shoulder) from M. Droeshout's original 1623 engraving. Just noodling, really. #art #artwork
- ADHD and autism.
- RFK: "Scientists still don't know if crops fail because of human sins" Scientists: "Bollocks. What is this debunked medieval bullshit?" RFK: "So, you could be arrested for committing as yet undetermined crimes if a) your crop fails, or b)..." Scientists: "Fucking idiot" RFK:...you're a scientist"
- #Mood At the moment, I'm so far down this, possibly escapist, rabbit-hole that when the news, BAFTA awards, or anything current comes on TV, they feel like they belong to another time, and are nothing to me but a foul and pestilent congregation of vapors. #shakespeare #elizabethan #tudor #jacobean
- "They pull a knife, you pull a Fisherman's Ring. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the Infernus. That's the Chicago way..." #pope
- TV anchor: "The last pope was known for his uncommon wisdom..." Cut to: Archival clip of pope speech. Pope: "War is bad. People who are at war should stop being at war and be friends instead. Being nice is nicer." TV anchor: "And he truly cared about the poor." Cut to: shot of immense palace.
- This site is selling *dozens* of my images. All pixellated, sub-quality prints. And if the 'items sold' stats are anything to go by, other people are earning a hell of a lot more money than I am. And the site makes reporting impossible. As soon as you say have a copyright complaint, they block you.
- 🧵 Last night's vivid 'time slip' dream: Inexplicably, I found myself in London in the 1590s. Terrified, I sought out the only person I could think of who might be able to help: William Shakespeare, who I recalled lived on Silver St. near Cripplegate. I eventually found the house and met him...
- "Judge Todd Lang responded positively to the AI usage. 'I loved that AI, thank you for that [...] I heard the forgiveness,' Lang said. 'I feel that that was genuine.'" "Genuine" Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Does #AI have an hallucinogenic compound in it or something? www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

- #Reform Party UK. Just another step towards the UK becoming the American king's Groom of the Stool. Pucker up, Britannia; osculum infame; then open wide; thou art but a collective colostomy bag. #LocalElections
- #NowPlaying The best album you'll hear today written around a Fibonacci number sequence, that the band regretted playing 'so badly' on and would be interested in having 'another shot at it', but doubt they'd 'ever have the energy or motivation to go that far'. Bartok meets jazz-fusion Bagpuss. 💯
- Sean Connery with a rubber duck on his head. Roger Moore with a crocheted toilet-roll cover doll on his head. #cinema #illustration #art #JamesBond
- Werner Herzog: I'd like you to write the score for my next film, Nosferatu, set in central Europe in the mid-1800s. Think gothic castles, rural hamlets and inns. Ideas? Popol Vuh: Indian music? You know, sitars, tablas, etc. Werner Herzog: Sounds appropriate. Go for it. #NowPlaying
- Me: I've finished my novel! People have read & liked it, so I'm going to send it out to agents/publishers. Right now! Me (1 year later): Yes, I know I said I was going to send it out then, but I'm *definitely* going to do it now. Me (18 months later): This time for sure! Right now!... ...Or soon!
- Oh god, here we go. That's the day ruined. Pretty much writing this post blind. #migraine
- It really is time we lost the term 'disorder' when describing autism/ADHD etc. It leads to faulty reasoning & prejudice. Neurodivergence is just a different cognitive makeup. It'd be like saying someone with fair hair who burns more easily has a 'skin disorder'. We don't; we just say it's genetics.

- Early-mid 1930s going on 2020s. Found in a French or Belgian archive, apparently (according to Facebook, that renowned, reliable source of facts.) #Trump
- #NowPlaying Atom Heart Mother to the cows outside my window. They don't seem very impressed. It's possible they prefer the Syd Barrett era of Pink Floyd.
- I haven't read Charles Bukowski much since my twenties, but you don't often stumble across original Black Sparrow Press copies in charity shops (especially in CH). Will be interesting to re-read it now I'm the age he was when he wrote it. #books
- Ashamed to say that, when I see photos like this, I immediately think about delivering lost cargo in the game. #DeathStranding.
