- You’re very welcome. I’m impressed you were able to find this after three months. 🙂

- Yeah, I was wondering how they'd handle that in the show. I guess I wasn't surprised at the "they didn't" choice 🙂

- Clearly not JWST since it shows four diffraction spikes, not six. This is actually a Hubble image.

- Yeah I don’t know why people follow such accounts 🤷♂️

- Sadly, they're all just AI generated nonsense.

- None of these images are genuine... they're AI generated.

- This is not a nebula... it's an AI generated image.

- "This image captures a supernova" - well, this illustration by Mehau Kulyk, I'm sure you mean.

- Thanks Raymond! I'm not holding my breath for NASA to show up here, but we can hope. 🙂 If they do, I'll likely keep these accounts running, as they post historical stuff as well as current. Looking at including ESA articles also (for historical stuff... since happily they're very active here).

- Appreciate you provided the source. Jerry's images are tagged as "all rights reserved" - did you get his permission before posting?

- Yeah it’s annoying that these photos get posted places like Reddit without attribution. Often someone in the comments of a Reddit post will track down the source, which can be handy. Otherwise a reverse image search will usually find it (though lots of useless hits makes it a chore).

- Yep… “over the Pacific Ocean south of Panama City” 🙂

- Just add a link to the source article… then you can wax rhapsodic about the beauty of space, and let the article do the boring stuff. 🙂

- I believe they’re waiting for landing conditions at the landing platform, Jacklyn, to improve.
- Ok, maybe that’s not it, as now they’re saying they’re working through a “few anomalies”.

- There’s also this starter pack with a similar focus (and lots of accounts you might want to add to yours)… (Thanks to @atmocheryl.space)at://did:plc:kehaji5m2qisiibmegkguuhv/app.bsky.graph.starterpack/3lciaszik5j2z
- James Webb tells Hubble to “hold my beer” with this stunning infrared (MIRI camera) and near-infrared (NIRCam) capture of the Pillars of Creation 🙂…
- Nov 30, 2022: The Pillars of Creation, captured in a composite image by #NASAWebb's NIRCam and MIRI, showcases the intricate details of this star-forming region, revealing myriad stars and layers of dust. flic.kr/p/2o3hyLq
- The famous Hubble capture of the Pillars of Creation (captured in the visible spectrum, though the color mapping means this is not a true color image)…
- Could you perhaps credit the photographer (Santiago Borja)? And this was taken from 37,000 feet, which at the latitude it was taken is within the troposphere… not “upper atmosphere”.

- Hubble cannot image the sun. This was photographed by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory.

- Good advice, but “auto-following” doesn’t happen with Starter Packs… you’ll only follow accounts that are in the pack when you select “Follow all”. This is unlike moderation lists, which you subscribe to, and auto-block (or hide) whoever the list owner adds going forwards.

- Block lists are great (I use them a lot)... but there is one annoying consequence: if you block someone via a block list, it doesn't register as a block on ClearSky (because that's not information ClearSky can access).

- Stop posting other people's work without attribution, and stop posting AI generated images as real, and you can get off that list 😉.
- Look at this beautiful picture of the Northern Lights Made with AI generated crap as @redshift.pics would call it. ❤️

- Moderation lists can make that a lot easier. Here's a good one... subscribe to it to block content scraper accounts like this one...
- Aw, poor @humblyjay.bsky.social is butthurt that his crap is getting called out, getting this parasitic account placed on the content scraper moderation list (which I highly recommend everyone subscribe to).

- I’m not referring to this particular account, but content scraper accounts in general, that steal other people’s content… I’ve encountered many such accounts on Facebook, and they post pretty much exactly the same content as the ones here.

- It’s what these accounts do… steal other people’s work and present it as their own. These accounts thrive on Facebook and that other place. Would be nice to see Bluesky crack down on them.

- Here’s what the earth looked like from DSCOVR’s EPIC camera at that time… there is no illuminated part of the earth that matches what you can see in the image in the post. Not to mention the fact there is no way stars would be visible in a real photo exposed for the earth.
