Westminster has three Henry VIII powers to give clarity and certainty to gender recognition:
Schedule 2 of the Human Rights Act,
section 23 of the Gender Recognition Act,
section 14 (prospective) of the Equality Act.
But they behave as though they are bound by the Supreme Court.
May 10, 2025 16:49They behave that way because they*want* to be bound by that ruling. If it had gone the other way you can bet they'd be scrambling to use every power available to them to obstruct it. They work hard at being this awful
